Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG and Reederei NORD GmbH will join forces in a new Handysize bulker pool named “Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool – HUHP”
HUHP will start their operations on the 1st of July, 2018 and will be operated from Hamburg and Singapore
Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG and Reederei NORD GmbH will establish a new Handysize bulker pool. The new venture will be called “Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool – HUHP”. Initially Peter Döhle will bring seven Green Dolphins into the pool with another eleven Emerald Mark I, Mark II and Green Dolphin types from Reederei Nord.
Reederei NORD is also partner in Hanseatic Unity Chartering (together with Atlantic Lloyd, Asiatic Lloyd, Borealis Maritime, Leonhardt & Blumberg and Bernhard Schulte) where the container vessels and larger bulkers of these partners are commercially managed. Peter Döhle is commercially managing their container chartering business through their joint venture with Costamare styled Blue Net Chartering for the bigger container vessels and via Ernst Russ Shipbroker for the smaller segments.
The Handysize vessels of HUHP will be commercially managed from Hamburg and Singapore where each location is focusing on the respective basin. The HUHP will provide exclusive pool services for the Handysize vessels of their founding partners and other third party customers. Building on the joint venture partners’ long-standing experience in the bulk sector and their forward thinking global shipping network HUHP aims to provide best-in-class employment opportunities for Handysize owners.
The pool will commence their operations on the 1st July 2018. The venture is still subject to merger-control clearance. The following persons will be in charge for HUHP’s vessels: Sergey Simakin, head of chartering at NORD, will act as managing director from Hamburg and Matthias Dassler, head of Doehle Bulk Singapore, will fulfil the same position for the Singaporean office.
